All American Karate School and Kara Ju Te Shorin Ryu Karate School can trace their systems back to an eclectic system of martial arts formed in 1982 by Shihan Robert Pavelsky. Shihan Pavelsky developed a martial arts system by taking parts of traditional Okinawan karate, American karate, Shorin Ryu karate and Judo, blending these parts into a comprehensive system of self defense. Building on this base, All American Karate and Kara Ju Te Karate continue to teach a style of martial arts and self defense so the schools’ motto "Be Better Than You Were Before" can be applied to all students who attend. |
Although no system can guarantee results, Sensei Lipari and Sensei Barreto feel their programs for children’s self defense, women’s self defense, personal safety and school or work safety offer the best edge to the people who train with them. The combination of karate, judo and jujitsu (or grappling) has proven effective for people of all ages in many different situations.
